India angry with Germany's comment on Arvind Kejriwal, responded like this
The Indian Foreign Ministry has expressed displeasure over the statement of the German Foreign Ministry spokesperson on the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
On Thursday, the Enforcement Directorate arrested Arvind Kejriwalon charges of alleged corruption in Delhi Liquor Policy. On Friday, the court sent him on ED remand for seven days, although the ED on its part had demanded a remand of 10 days.
The Indian Foreign Ministry on Saturday morning summoned Georg Enzweiler, deputy head of the German Embassy Mission in New Delhi.
India registered its strong protest, terming the remarks of the German Foreign Ministry spokesperson as interference in India’s internal affairs.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement saying, “We view such comments as interference in our judicial process and undermining the independence of our judiciary.”
According to the statement, “India is a vibrant and strong democracy governed by the rule of law. As in all legal matters in India and other democratic countries, the law will take its course in this case too. All discriminatory measures made in this regard will The assumptions are very unfair.”

On the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, the spokesperson of the German Foreign Ministry had said that India being a democratic country, they hope that Kejriwal will get a chance to get a fair and impartial trial.

The spokesperson said that at the heart of the law is that a person is considered innocent until proven guilty and the same should apply to them.

Aam Aadmi Party says that there is nothing wrong in the statement made by Germany.
Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has supported the statement of the German Foreign Ministry spokesperson by tweeting on social media site X.
He wrote, “The German Foreign Ministry has simply reiterated the basic principles of natural justice and democracy. All democratic countries have been saying this for decades.”
Bhardwaj wrote, “Why is BJP so sensitive about this?”
Former Foreign Secretary of India Kanwal Sibal has termed this comment from Germany as interference in India’s internal affairs.
“Arrogant interference in our internal affairs. Germany should be warned, who doubt our judicial standards and independence, who question whether democratic principles will apply in Kejriwal’s case,” he wrote on social media platform X.
